The Endoscopy Unit

Introduction:

The Gastrointestinal and Liver Endoscopy Unit has been established in its final structure in 1987. It is extended over 2 floors of the building and recieves inpatients as well as outpatients. A GI bleeding control unit (in Dep. 5) has been added, which is on call for 24/7.

The unit was established by Prof.Dr. Abu-Shady El-Rouby, Prof.Dr. Shokry Hunter and Prof.Dr. Abu Al-Dahab Al-Sehly.
Presently the unit is directed by Prof.Dr. Sameh Labib

The aim of the Endoscopy Unit is to deliver high quality endoscopic services to all patients who attend Kasralainy Endoscopy unit. It is a referral unit that offers all modern diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Our particular focus is to ensure that patients are cared for in a friendly and efficient manner with state of the art equipment that is maintained to the highest possible standards.
