| The Inpatient Sector |
The Inpatient Sector is located within Department 2 in the first floor of the hospital. It consists of the male ward and the female ward.
The male ward possesses 21 beds, the female ward 19 beds.
Each patient of the Inpatient Sector is assigned to a resident doctor.
All services of the inpatient sector are completely free of charge. Once the patient is admitted to the Inpatient Sector, the following procedures are performed:
Admission and Filing:
Admission procedures are excuted and a medical file is created for the patient. In this file the following documents and papers are compiled:
Admission approval.
Medical history and examination results of the patient.
Requested investigations.
Clinical record of the patient (vital signs, other related information).
Requests for consultation from other departments, if needed.
Medication schedule.
Clinical Examination:
Then, the patient undergoes full clinical examination including : general examination for different body systems and local examination for the gastrointestinal tract, liver and spleen.
This examination is repeated by the resident in charge on each day of the week or whenever the patient's condition demands.
Investigations:
After completed clinical examination, the investigations needed for the patient are requested. These investigations are completely free of charge including Labs, Imaging, Endoscopy and Ultrasound.
Treatment:
The patient receives the proper medication prescriped by the resident in charge from well trained nurses in fixed intervals. The medication is adjusted according to the response of the patient. All medicines are free of charge, and unavailable drugs can be bought or supplied from existing donations. Know more about available medicines.
Rather than medication, the patient here receives blood transfusion, interventional ultrasound and therapeutic endoscopy.
Rounds:
Rounds with different staff are taking place on 4 days of the week. The participants of these rounds are professors, assistant professors, lecturers, assitant lecturers and the and the resident in charge of each individual patient.
Every Tuesday, the Staff Round is being held during which the most interesting and controversial cases are being demonstrated and discussed.
