The Department has been divided into seven units, each of which is managed by a professor and has its specific day for the round. Each unit consists of staff members from endoscopy and liver unit, and residents. Each unit will be completely responsible for a number of beds from the necessary investigations to diagnosis and treatment.

Every week in turns one unit will present the case of the week, and every month, a symposium will be held.

This new organization is intended to further the welfare of the patients, and at the same time grant possibilities for study and research.
